An immigration lawyer by trade, Sheryl Winarick is a bold dreamer and a compassionate realist by nature.She is a digital nomad with home bases in Washington, DC and Austin, Texas. Her clients include organizations like Oxfam International, TED, Unreasonable Group, small businesses and start-ups, as well as individuals and families from all over the world. She is also a TED Resident, Aspen Institute Scholar and HIAS Public Policy Committee member.
Through her work, she enables individuals and families from all over the world, as well as businesses and non-profits to maximize their potential in the U.S. Sheryl's career is consistent with her greater life purpose: building bridges of understanding and appreciation across culture, religion, race, nationality, gender, age, and class. She has a gift for seeing the best in people and inspiring people to see the best in themselves and others.“Seeing others dream big, take leaps of faith, work hard, innovate, accept small setbacks, carry on, and appreciate everything along the way that inspires me,” she says.
She is currently traveling around the USA on a “listening tour” to explore and celebrate the country’s rich cultural heritage, while challenging communities to think creatively about navigating change and innovating forward together. Local and national partners are helping to plan inclusive events to promote unity and deepen understanding through personal interaction. She intends to continue the tour outside of the USA in 2018.
