Vis Mentis Public Benefit Nonprofit LLC was founded by Csaba Mányai and Zoltán Szénási in 2010. Our nonprofit organization is devoted to initiate and drive projects combining three different, but vitally important aspects of our lives at the start of the new millennium:
1. focusing on quality of life as opposed to just standard of living,
2. harmonizing/reconciling progress with sustainability, and finally,
3. building on the power of social innovation and responsibility.
Vis Mentis is a social entrepreneurship by which we simply mean that we place good and inspiring causes at the center of our efforts and activities, and apart from the direct costs associated with our projects we use all income to foster those causes and help the community forming around them. In case there are enough of us who share this view and find these causes important and appealing enough to participate in and/or support, we plan to do this together with the members of our community by creating an open platform that builds on common effort and shared energy to create new value for all of us.
Vis Mentis is founder and coordinator of the TEDxDanubia program as well as chief organizer of all the events.
